Diversity Message. Happy Diversity Month!!! Take a couple minutes to think about it… Seriously, take a minute or two and think about it. So, what did you come up with? Was it a friend who grew up in a different part of the world and had a different ideology around spirituality or religion than you? Or how about a colleague where you both had a large generational gap and you assumed you had nothing in common but turned out you did. Or maybe you became really close friends with your neighbors who were a married same sex couple who had two young children.

If given enough thought, the list can get quite extensive with how our differences and the differences of others positively impact us. Fortunate for us, the workplace gives us a continual opportunity to grow and learn from our differences and celebrate how beautifully unique we all are. WE are all gifts to humanity. So, on this lovely spring day, I encourage us ALL to continue celebrating our cultural, gender, racial, religious, sexual and any other differences we contribute to our big, beautiful and amazing world.

Happy Diversity Month!!!! Sunette Thompson. NIEAPA members shall have and continue to develop specialized knowledge and understanding about the values, traditions and systems of all employees at the workplaces they serve. Address: E.
